- Day 1: Marrakech ⇒ Atlas Mountains ⇒ Ouarzazate ⇒ Dades Valley
Start your adventure with a pick-up from your accommodation in Marrakech. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, marveling at scenic landscapes and Berber villages. Stop at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and filming location for movies like Gladiator.
Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” and visit the Atlas Film Studios and Taourirt Kasbah. Drive through the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley, where you’ll stay overnight in a charming hotel or riad with dinner included.
- Day 2 : Dades Valley ⇒ Todra Gorges ⇒ Merzouga Desert (Luxury Camp)
After breakfast, explore the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with towering red cliffs, and enjoy some free time for a walk or photo opportunities. Travel through Erfoud, famous for its fossils, before arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert.
Here, you’ll take a camel trek across the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi. Watch a breathtaking sunset before reaching your luxury desert camp, where you’ll enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner under a starry sky, complete with Berber music and storytelling. Overnight in a private tent.
- Day 3 : Merzouga ⇒ Midelt ⇒ Fez
Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4, then begin your journey to Fez. Travel through the Ziz Valley and the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping for a leisurely lunch in Midelt, a charming mountain town.
Continue through cedar forests near Azrou, where you may spot playful Barbary macaques, and pass through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Arrive in Fez in the evening and settle into a traditional riad for the night.
