The full itinerary:
- Day 1: Ouarzazate ⇒ Agdez ⇒ Rissani ⇒ Merzouga Desert
Your adventure begins in Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Travel through the lush Draa Valley, stopping in Agdez to admire its serene palm groves and traditional kasbahs. Continue to Rissani, a historic town known for its traditional souks and deep cultural heritage.
Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon and embark on a camel trek across the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi to your luxury desert camp. Witness a magical sunset, savor a traditional Moroccan dinner, and enjoy Berber music under the starlit desert sky. Overnight in a private tent.
- Day 2 : Merzouga ⇒ Erfoud ⇒ Tinghir
Wake up early to catch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes, followed by breakfast. Return to Merzouga by camel or 4x4, then head to Erfoud, famous for its fossil workshops and products. Continue to Tinghir, home to the breathtaking Todra Gorges, where towering cliffs rise dramatically over a lush riverbed.
Take some time to explore the gorge, capture stunning photos, and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Overnight in Tinghir in a traditional riad or guesthouse.
- Day 3 : Tinghir ⇒ Kalaat Mgouna ⇒ Skoura ⇒ Ouarzazate
After breakfast, journey through the Dades Valley, known as the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs.” Stop in Kalaat Mgouna, the heart of Morocco’s Valley of Roses, where you can learn about the fragrant rose products and their importance to the local economy.
Continue to Skoura, a palm oasis filled with ancient kasbahs, and visit the famous Amridil Kasbah, a beautifully preserved historical site.
Arrive back in Ouarzazate, where you can relax and reflect on your day. Overnight in a cozy riad or hotel.
- Day 4 : Ouarzazate ⇒ Ait Ben Haddou ⇒ Tizi n’Tichka Pass ⇒ Marrakech
Begin your final day with a visit to the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning example of traditional Moroccan architecture that has appeared in numerous films. Travel through the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the dramatic Tizi n’Tichka Pass, with opportunities for panoramic photo stops along the way.
Arrive in Marrakech, where the tour concludes with a drop-off at your accommodation or chosen location.
